Its been four years.
Some of this stuff should have been addressed by now.
The eShop on Switch simply doesnt do the systems extensive library of mostly fantastic releases justice.
I get all that.
And yes, every second the eShop is down is lost revenue.
I get that too.
Still, I cant help but feel like improving the user experience would be a net positive.
The fact that theres no shopping cart or some form of Mario-branded equivalent is baffling.
If I want to buy two or more games, I literally cannot purchase them together.
Its So Disorganized
Perhaps the most immediately apparent problem is the organizationor lack of it.
Thankfully theres at least a search function, but that only really works if Im looking for something specific.
Great Deals has a Filter option, which is great, but its the only eShop category with one.
Best Sellers only lets you toggle between All Games and Download Only Games.
And then theres the Wish List.
Its not exactly essential for modern online shopping, but its extremely useful all the same.
So why cant I organize it in any way?
Games are only displayed in the order Ive added them.
And why arent games Ive purchased removed automatically?
Oh, its functional, sure.
I can add a game to my shopping cart, give Nintendo money, and then download stuff.
Know what I cant do?
Buy more than one thing at a time.
When I say this is the biggest problem I have with the eShop Im not kidding.
The fact that theres no shopping cart or some form of Mario-branded equivalent is baffling.
If I want to buy two or more games, I literally cannot purchase them together.
I really hope this changes by the time we get to Nintendos next console.
