If you find that any of the permissions are disabled, enabling them will probably fix the problem.
Here’s how to get into the permissions tweaks for your Google app:
OpenSettings>Apps & notifications.
In the app info list, tapGoogle.
If any of the slider switches are grayed out, tap them so that they slide to the right.
double-check that every slider is switched on, and check to see if Google Assistant voice commands work.
If it still doesn’t work, double-check that the “OK Google” command is actually enabled.
launch the Google app, and tapMore.
ensure that the slider switches forAccess with Voice MatchandUnlock with Voice Matchare both slid to the right.
If either switch is slid to the left and grayed out, tap it.

If it still doesn’t respond, retrain the voice model.
Here’s how to retrain the Google Assistant voice model:
kick off the Google app, and tapMore.
Then tapSettings>Voice.
If you’re still on that screen, you might skip this step.
TapRetrain voice model, and key in your PIN or scan your fingerprint if prompted.
Say the indicated phrases when prompted.
confirm to enunciate each command clearly.
TapFinishto complete the process.
Check to see if Google Assistant voice commands work.
If you’re still experiencing trouble, you may have a problem with your Google app.
In some cases, this pop in of problem can be rectified by clearing the Google app data andcache.
In the worst-case scenario, you’ll have to wait for Google to provide a fix.
TapOK, then tap theback buttonto return to the previous screen.
TapClear Cache, then tap theback button.
Tap the(three vertical dots) icon.
Check to see if Google Assistant voice commands work.
Navigate to theGoogle app in the Google Play Store, and tapUPDATE.
