But not everyone will want to, or should, hand over private information such as a phone number.
“Until now, one of the better features of online platforms is the ability to stay anonymous.
To some, that’s the whole point of the badge.
But for others, it could be to their detriment and, potentially, even put them in danger.
“It also puts some at risk of harassment and stalking, as numbers can be traced to locations.
That is a real concern in this politically divisive environment.”
