AI PCs and AI system bring a new set of risks to your privacy and security, and security applications need to keep up.

AI can do some pretty amazing things, and withthe new Copilot+ PCs on the horizon, the availability of AI PCs only expands the risks to your private data and personal information.

To help combat the increase in risk to your personal data and your PC, Trend Micro announced on Tuesday that it’s planning “a series of solutions and initiatives” designed to address the risks posed by AI.

According toa press release sent to Lifewire, the new security solutions will include protections for AI applications, malicious AI content, and solutions that tap into AI to improve protections.

This means whether you’re using an AI PC or just a regular PC to use AI, soon, security solutions will be available to that the unique risks of AI into consideration.

What’s more, the power of AI can also be applied to those protections making it possible for Trend Micro to develop more robust security solutions.

“Our goal is to ensure every user, from individual consumers to the largest organizations in the world, can harness the full potential of AI and AI PCs securely and confidently.

AI PCs increase the level of risk that people face, too, andaccording to PC analytics firm IDC, AI PCs will make up more than 60 percent of all PC shipments worldwide by 2027.

Trend Micro is using theMITRE Adversarial Threat Landspace for Artificial-Intelligence Systemsas a guide for the applications it is developing and says those applications will begin to be available “throughout 2024,” though no exact release timeline or additional details were provided.
