Here are four ways to store files on your machine instead of OneDrive.
Using OneDrive tweaks
On most of the Windows 10 computers, OneDrive comes preinstalled.
And it is the default saving place for files in your Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folder.

If you dont see the OneDrive icon in the taskbar, open Windows search and look for OneDrive.

Step 2:In the OneDrive configs, go to the Backup tab.

Doing so will not impactyour Microsoft account settingsor your data in OneDrive.

To unlink OneDrive, right-snag the OneDrive icon in the taskbar and select prefs.
Go to the Account tab and select Unlink this PC.
Confirm on the next screen.
Now you should be able to stash your files directly on your rig.
After OneDrive is unlinked, you canremove the OneDrive folder from appearing in File Explorer.

For that, go to OneDrive controls from the taskbar.
choose the configs tab.
Uncheck the box next to Start OneDrive automatically when I sign in to Windows.
choose Ok. reboot your setup.
For that, go to tweaks > Apps on your setup.
Look for Microsoft OneDrive.
Hit the Uninstall button.
In case you regret your decision, you canreinstall OneDrive on your gear.
For that, open Windows Explorer.
Use the Windows key + E keyboard shortcut to open it.
Right-tap on the Desktop folder.

Go to the Location tab and press Restore Default.
Click Ok to save the changes.
