Have you been enjoying theNew York Times Connections puzzle?

Now there’s a new version of the game focusing on sports-related words.

It’s simply calledConnections: Sports Edition, and we have hints and the answers.

You’re given 16 words and asked to put them into four groups that are somehow connected.

The main difference is that all the words and categories have some kind of sports tie-in.

And the four groups of words have different difficulty levels.

The words might include player names, team names or sport-related activities.

The yellow words in today’s Connections

The theme is football positions.

The four answers are CB, P, TE and WR.

The green words in today’s Connections

The theme is strikeout.

The four answers are K, punchout, SO and whiff.

The blue words in today’s Connections

The theme is slang for dunk.

The four answers are hammer, jam, slam and stuff.

The purple words in today’s Connections

The theme is NFL video games.

The four answers are 2K, Blitz, Fever and Street.
