I have certain needs when it comes to a laptop.
It needs to be durable enough to withstand being tossed in a backpack and jostled around.

It’s through that lens that I looked at the Inspiron 14.
Here’s what I found.

The keys feel great when you tap them.
Sometimes, I was streaming music while working; other times, I was streaming movies or YouTube videos.
I installed and used Photoshop while I had other programs running.

I opened several different programs at once.
The AMD Ryzen processor kept up with it all.
Another thing I found pretty useful about this laptop is that it has a good number of ports.
One interesting feature was the webcam shutter.
It’s a small thingboth in convenience and sizebut it still made the laptop feel a little more secure.
It’s also worth noting that the Inspiron 14 has a built-in Windows Copilot key.
You just tap the key to start chatting with the Copilot AI.
Fortunately, the Inspiron has decent battery life.
Dell claims this unit gets about 10-hours of use on a single charge.
I found that to be pretty accurate.
Charging was pretty fast, too.
I went from about 30 percent battery to a full charge in less than two hours.
It’s nothotby any means.
I’ve tested other laptops that were uncomfortable to use on your lap without something underneath them.
That’s not the case with this one.
Is the Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 Worth It?
It’s also very portable and feels sturdy enough to withstand the bumps and bangs of daily use.
That unit is only $480.
But for the better specs, I would go for the upgraded model.
