By Feb. 17, it was up to $3,140.
Over 97% of the 36.9 million tax returns submitted so far in 2023 have been filed electronically.
About 41% of those were prepared by tax professionals, the remainder were self-prepared.
Visits to theIRS website, meanwhile, have declined 14.3% this season.
