Should You Buy a Peloton on Prime Day?

Short answer:Maybe.

If you’re indifferent about Peloton, Amazon offers otheraffordable bikesthat fit any price budget.

From its bike series, Peloton only added the original Peloton Bike to its Amazon storefront.

Currently, thePeloton bike is retailing for $1,445 both on Amazon and on the Peloton website.

If you recall, Peloton has had a tumultuous year between its price fluctuations and internal business changes.

In April, Peloton lowered prices by $500 for its Peloton Bike, Bike Plus and Tread.

This was the biggest sale to date we’d seen through Peloton.

During this time, Peloton also raised its all-access membership from $39 to $44 per month.

The original Peloton bike price stayed at $1,445, and the all-access membership also remained at $44.

The price includes the bike and the all-access membership.

There is also a $150 one-time delivery fee.

Through the rental program, you’re free to cancel anytime or buy out the bike.

The following shows what it costs to buy out the Peloton Bike from the rental program.

In the end, you’re paying $540 a year.

Add on the year buy-out fee of $895 and it comes out to $1,435.

Compared with the retail price of the bike ($1,445), you’re only saving $10.

If it doesn’t work out, you might return the bike for a full refund without additional charges.

When Peloton had the $500 price drop on its website in April, it was a big deal.

Is the Peloton Bike right for you?

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right fit for everybody.

It has Bluetooth connectivity so you might also use the Peloton app if you want with this bike.

But I would keep an eye out around the holidays for even more price drops.
