Clean Up the Hard Drive
Hard drives have limited space.
The accumulation of temporary files created by Windows and apps has the same effect.

Check all the boxes and then selectOK>Delete Filesto start the deletion process.
SelectApps>Installed apps.
Scroll through the list to find a program to delete.
Windows lets you sort the list by program size and install date.
These are smart ways to quickly assess what should be deleted.
Select thethree dotsnext to the app and then clickUninstall>Uninstall.
Not sure what to delete?
You might find that you want the program even if you forgot what it does.
cycle your computerwhen you’re finished deleting everything you want to remove.
Disable Startup Programs
Some programs launch immediately after your laptop boots up.
Thiscanbe useful if you want to use those apps shortly after logging in.
Open Task Managerby right-clicking a blank space in the taskbar and selectingTask Manager.
This lists all the programs that run automatically at startup; you probably have quite a few of them.
You might not see this if you’ve never usedTask Manager.
SelectMore detailsto expand the tool first.
Select theStatuscolumn once or twice to sort the list by enabled apps.
This will show you which apps are currently configured to run automatically.
Right-click any app and selectDisable.
Not sure what the program is for?
Right-click it and selectSearch onlineto do a quick web search.
This should help you determine whether you need it to autostart.
Press theWindows keyand then typeWindows Security.
Click it from the results when you see it.
SelectVirus & threat protection.
ChooseQuick scanand wait for the scan to finish.
If threats are found, follow any directions to delete them.
Reset Windows
your setup includes a method for resetting the operating system.
This process is designed to wipe allthird-party programsbut keep your personal files.
