The tool works only under certain conditions.
One way to open Run is through theWIN+Rkeyboard shortcut.
SelectAllow an app or feature through Windows Firewallfrom the left side of the window.
Make sureFile and Printer Sharinghas a checkmark in thePrivatebox to its right.
If it doesnt, put a check in that box and selectOK.
If you cant change the firewall tweaks because theyre greyed out, selectChange settingsat the top of the window.
you could now exit any open Windows Firewall parameters.
Download and Open It
Download PsExecon the computer that will be running the remote commands.
It’s available for free from Microsoft at Sysinternals as part of PsTools.
Extract the files from thePsTools.zipdownload.
you might do that by right-clicking theZIPfile and selectingExtract All.
Anythird-party file extractorwill work, too.
Understanding the Syntax
Much like any command-line tool, PsExec works only when itssyntaxis followed exactly.
Adding an argument like that requirescmd.
The reason this happens is because malware has been known to use PsExec to transferviruses.
