Squid Gameisn’t done with Gi-hun, aka Player 456 (Lee Jung-jae).
The highly anticipated second installment ofNetflix’s most popular original series everis gearing up for its bloody return.
The South Korean hit will premiere on Dec. 26 on Netflix.
Player 456 won the money in the season 1 finale and was in the clear.
He dyed his hair bright red and was heading to start a new life in some distant locale.
But he didn’t get on that plane.
Instead, as we see in the trailer below, he purposefully puts himself back in the game.
This begs the very important question: Why?
From the looks of things, Player 456 is set on taking the whole thing down.
And what exactly does that mean?
Emmy-winning director Hwang Dong-hyuk is back to helm every episode of the new installment.
Something tells us it’s not going to be easy.
We have to wonder what other new challenges will be presented in these new episodes.
If Red Light, Green Light is the baseline, Player 456 has his work cut out for him.
Let the games begin.
