Using logical functions to test multiple conditions

Nesting functions in Excel refers to placing one function inside another.

The nested function acts as one of the main function’sarguments.

The AND, OR, and IFfunctionsare some of Excel’s better knownlogical functionsthat are commonly used together.

If not, the function returns FALSE as a value.

When the AND and OR functions are combined with theIF function, the resulting formula has much greater capabilities.

This first element is known as theLogical_test argument.

The IF function uses this value and returns its Value_if_false argument the current date supplied bythe TODAY function.

The IF function then used this result to return its Value_if_false argument: Data Correct.

These same steps can be used to enter any of the IF formulas in these examples.
