There’s something about picking up a smartphone that’s designed to be minimalist.

You’ll either love it or you’ll hate it.

There isn’t much in the way of in-between.

I understand it’s an Android operating system, but what other differences are there?

Strangely enough, I found I love some of the differences but I’m not so fond of others.

Here’s how that shook out.

Honestly, the bump on this phone was relatively minor over the Nothing Phone (2a).

It gets a better processor: the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G.

Specs don’t tell the whole story, though.

Yes, all the Google stuff is still there; it is an Android phone, after all.

Of course, Nothing has its own vibe.

I tried it, and I like it well enough.

The GlyphsNothing’s set of three lights on the back of the phoneare probably my second favorite features.

What I like most about them is the ability to use them as a timer.

You set the timer, flip the phone over, and one light turns on.

As the timer winds down, the light will slowly get smaller.

The only thing I wasn’t fond of on this phone was some of the customization options.

So, maybe the problem is more that I struggle with some aspects of minimalism.

Is the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Worth It?

At $399, I think the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is worth the price.

It’s also about $50 more than the Nothing Phone (2a).

The specs got a slight bump for the price increase.

It just means it’s possible for you to’t pop out to BestBuy to pick it up.
