The new headset will offer better resolution, refresh rate, and field of view
HTC is revamping its VR headsets with the Vive Pro 2 and the business-focused Vive Focus 3.
The two new headsets will be available this June and feature significant upgrades from the companys previous head-mounted displays (HMDs).
HTC revealed the two new HMDs in apress release, noting the Vive Pro 2 and Vive Focus 3 will both offer 2.5K resolution for each eye, allowing for crisper images and experiences when using them.The Vergereports that both headsets are currently slated to arrive in June, with the Vive Focus 3 more targeted to business and development than general consumer use.

The Vive Pro 2 builds off of the previous iterations of HTCs business-focused headset, offering greater resolution and field of view over the original Vive Pro, which released in 2018.
The 120Hz refresh rate and 120-degree field of view should provide a smoother experience in VR applications, especially with HTCs claims that it will minimize motion blur.
The Vive Pro 2 is also the first VR headset to support Display Stream Compression (DSC), which is typically seen in high-end monitors and provides better display quality.

The integrated headphones in the Vive Pro 2 will support 3D spatial sound, as well as work with third-party headsets.
Alternatively, the Vive Focus 3 will upgrade HTCs self-contained VR headset, though it appears the company isnt focusing on it as a consumer gadget.
It features the same resolution displays as the Vive Pro 2 and will be available this June for $1,300but only for businesses.
The Vive Pro 2 is available to preorder today, with full kits for the VR headset going on sale June 4.
There are a few different ways to purchase the headset, but buying a fully kitted-out Pro 2which comes with the Base Station 2.0 and controllerswill cost $1,399.
