Using Microsoft Family Safety has a few prerequisites.

To get started, visit theMicrosoft Family Safety page.

If you haven’t signed in with your Microsoft account yet, you’ll be prompted to.

Then you might selectCreate a family groupto get started.

You’ll be prompted to add a new family member to your group.

If you’re adding a spouse, selectOrganizer.

If you’re adding a child, selectMember.

Enter the email address, the correctCaptcha code, and selectSend invite.

Under your Child’s account, selectManage permissions.

Enable organizer permissions under all sections.

Your child should receive an email with the invite to the Microsoft Family Group.

Have them bring up the email and selectJoin Now.

Currently, this app is only availablefor Android.

Help your childgo into the app permissionsfor the Microsoft Launcher app and enable at least theLocationsetting.

TheActivitytab is where you might access all of the configs on one page.

This is also where you might enable or disable overall monitoring.

Currently, these prefs are only for Windows 10 or Xbox devices and not mobile phones.

One of the coolest features in Microsoft Family Safety is theFind your childpage.

On this page, you’ll see the current location of your child.

Previously Microsoft Family Safety was only available as an app tocontrol your child’s computer use in Windows 10.

Now it’s also available for Android.

Apple has a similar app to this calledScreen Time.
