However, the security code feature works regardless of an internet connection.
you’ve got the option to use it, whether your mobile unit is online or offline.
However, to use this feature the following two conditions need to be fulfilled.
Step 1: get in to your Google account as per usual.
Enter the email address and password.
Step 2: On the 2-Step Verification page, selectTry another wayfrom the bottom.
On the next page, youll be prompted to enter the security code from your Android equipment.
Heres how to get them.
Step 4: OpenSettingsapp.
Go toGoogleand tapManage your Google Account.
Step 5: Here, select theSecuritytab from the top bar.
Scroll down to How you sign in to Google.
Step 6: SelectSecurity Codefrom the options.
Step 7: Enter the security code into Googles prompt and tapNextto sign into your account.
Or for whatever reason, youcant sign into your Google Account with 2-Step Verification.
Well, for such scenarios Google has incorporated a contingency plan, dubbed as the backup codes.
If you havegenerated these backup codesin advance, you could access to your Google account without a phone.
