Here are guidelines for setting updual monitorsand working with Microsoft programs on multiple screens.
Instructions in this article apply to dual-monitor setups in Windows 10, Windows 7, and Mac computers.

Connect the two monitors to the computer or rig and turn on the power for each.
SelectStart>configs>System>Display.
The computer should detect both monitors automatically and show the desktop.
If you don’t see the monitors, selectDetect.
Duplicate displaysshows the same desktop on both displays.Disconnect This Displayturns off the selected monitor.
Your dual-monitor setup is ready to use with Microsoft Office programs.
SelectExtendto use the second monitor as an extension of the first.
An alternative method is to right-click an empty area of the desktop and selectScreen Resolution.
From theMultiple displaysdrop-down list, selectExtend these displays.
After you connect a second monitor, choose to use it as an extended desktop or for video mirroring.
The Mac should detect the connected display.
If it doesn’t, choose theApplemenu, selectSystem Preferences>Displays,andthen selectDisplaysagain.
You may need to hold down theOptionkey when selectingDetect Displays.
After the Mac recognizes both displays, go to theApplemenu, selectSystem Preferences,andselectDisplays>Arrangement.
From there, look forShow All Windowsin Taskbarin the Display section.
With this selected, you should see the full Word interface in each window you’re running.
In newer versions, this should be automatic.
In PowerPoint, you canrun a presentation on two monitors.
This can be tricky, so practice in advance.
Work with differentExcel workbookson multiple screens by starting Excel and opening the file as usual.
Move this window so that it’s entirely on one monitor.
Then, open Excel again.
launch the second Excel file and minimize it so that it’s not full screen.
Then you’ve got the option to move it to the other monitor.
