The Mail app also supports the use of an alias when sending messages.

Go toSettings>Mail>Accounts.
In theIMAP Account Informationsection, tap the arrow next to theemailaddress.
Use anenrolled Gmail account aliashere.
Add as many addresses as you need.
When you’re finished, tapAccountto return to the previous screen, then selectDone.
Your new address is now ready to use.
Tap the default From address again to display all enrolled email addresses.
However, you gain access to send-as aliases, which Gmail prohibits on the iOS Mail app.
