How to Update Kindle Fire Tablets
Fire tablets run a modified version ofAndroidcalledFire OS.
Swipe down from the top of the screen and select theSettingsgear.
you might also select theSettingsapp on the home screen to enter the rig’s tweaks.
Scroll down and selectDevice Options.
Scroll down and selectSystem Updates.
SelectCheck Nowto see if any updates are available.
You’ll see the version of Fire OS currently on the gear along with the date it was installed.
Your unit must be connected to the internet to check for Kindle Fire updates.
Scroll down and selectSync equipment.
Connect your Fire tablet to your box.
If this is the first time connecting the equipment to the PC, an empty folder appears.
To gain access to the tablet’s hard drive, swipe down and selectTap for other USB options.
On your gear, a folder calledInternal Storageappears on the Fire tablet’s drive.
Drag the Fire OS update software you just downloaded to theInternal Storagefolder.
Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the tablet from the computer.
Then swipe down from the top of the screen and select theSettingsgear.
The updates are applied automatically.
