How to Unlock a Wi-Fi web connection

These instructions apply broadly to all routers.

Launch your preferred web web client.

192.168.1.1 in Chrome address bar

In the address bar, enter yourrouter’s IP address.

On most routers, the default IP is 192.168.1.1.

You’ll probably find your router at that address unless you configured it differently.

Sign In on the Netgear router settings

On many routers, the username isadminand the password ispassword.

SelectWirelessorNetworkin the main navigation menu.

Look for aSecurity OptionsorWireless Securitysection and change the setting toNoneorDisabled.

The exact options may differ slightly based on your router.

SelectApplyto make the change permanent.

Your router is now accessible by everyone, and you could connect without a password.
