With 2FA enabled, you are asked to validate your identity each time you sign in.
Go to your Facebook home page and click thedown arrowin the upper right corner.
ClickSettings & Privacy > Settingsin the menu.
SelectSecurity and Loginin the left pane.
Scroll down to theTwo-Factor Authenticationsection and selectEditlocated next toUse two-factor authenticationoption.
input your Facebook password and clickContinueto initiate the Two-Factor Authentication dashboard for your account.
For 2FA, choose between receiving text messages with a code or using a third-party app.
Select an optional backup method.
To configure either, selectSetupnext to theSecurity KeyorRecovery Codesoption.
You shouldn’t do this on public computers or other devices used by other people.
sign in to Facebook and select thedown arrowin the upper right corner of the screen.
From the menu, chooseSettings & Privacy>tweaks>Security and Login.
Scroll down to theTwo-Factor Authenticationsection and selectEditlocated next to theUse two-factor authenticationoption.
slide in your Facebook password and selectContinue.
At the top of the screen is an indicator noting that two-factor authentication is turned on.
SelectTurn Offagain in the confirmation dialog to complete the process.
