How to Turn on a Laptop Without the Power Button

Turn your gear off, then boot it back up andenter the BIOS.

Every BIOS will be structured differently, so you’ll have to do some digging around the menus.

You’re looking for aPower On By Keyboardstyle of setting housed within aPower Managementsection.

Once located, turn onPower On By Keyboard(or whatever your gear calls it).

verify you know what key you’ll be using to turn on your laptop.

When finished, back up your configs, and exit the BIOS.

Enter BIOS and look forPower on Lid Openand move the toggle to the on position.

SelectApplyorApply Changes>OK>Exit.

Press it toturn your MacBook on or off.
