Keep holding the button(s) until a slider appears on the screen.

Move theSlide to power offslider all the way to the right.

If you change your mind and don’t want to turn it off, chooseCancelto keep the iPad on.

When the screen lights up, let go of the button and the iPad boots.

If your iPad has aHomebutton, hold down it and theon/off buttonuntil the Apple logo appears on the screen.

What If the iPad Won’t Turn On?

In some rare cases, an iPad won’t respond when you attempt to boot it up.

If that’s the case, it’s crucial that you force the iPad to restart.

If your iPad doesn’t have a home button, it’s a little trickier.

First, press and quickly release thevolume upbutton.

Then press and quickly release thevolume downbutton.

Finally, press and hold thePowerbutton until you see the Apple logo appear.

To control iPad sounds, go toSettings>Soundsand drag the slider to set your preferred volume.

To turn off the pop-up blocker on an iPad, go toSettings>Safari.

Scroll down to theGeneralsection and toggle offBlock Pop-ups.
