The instructions apply to all Android phones regardless of the manufacturer (Google, Samsung, etc.).
Here’s how:
Download MobileTrans.
pop launch the installation file and selectInstall.
Select thePhone Transfertab at the top.
Go toSettings>Connected devices>USBand make sureFile transferis turned on.
Turn on Android USB debugging mode.
If you see a pop-up on your phone, tapOKorAllow.
If not, you’ll have to go through your phone configs as described through that link.
If you don’t see the pop-up on your phone, selectShow Again.
On your phone, tapOK, then tapSet as default.
Connect your destination rig (the phone you want to transfer texts to) to your system.
If your gear isn’t detected at anytime, selectRetry.
SelectOKin MobileTrans when prompted.
Check the boxes next to the information you want to transfer.
Make sureText messagesis selected.
When you’re ready, selectStart.
SelectFlipat the top to switch them.
No computer or USB connection is required.
bring up the app and tapGet Started.
TapAllowto grant the necessary permissions.
Tap theMenuicon (the three lines).
TapTransfer, then tapSend From This Phone.
If you see a prompt to access nearby devices, tapAllow.
On the source equipment, tap yourdestination equipment.
On the destination unit, tapAccept.
On the source unit, selectTransfer messages and call logs from the current state of this phone.
On the destination rig, tapAcceptand Restore.
When the process is finished, check the destination unit to verify your text messages were successfully transferred.
This program will help you migrate almost all of your data to a new unit.
One way to move contacts between Android devices is with a SIM card.
In the Contacts app, go toSettings>Import/Export>Export>SIM card.
Then, move the SIM to the new phone.
