Once the relevant region is set, Apple Maps should follow suit.
Heres how to do it.
Step 1:OpenSettingsand tap onGeneral.
Here, tap onLanguage & Region.
Step 2:Then, tap onMeasurement System.
Here, tap on theUSorUK.
This will allow you to change KM to miles and vice versa on iPhone or iPad.
you’ve got the option to also change your region to match the local metrics on your machine.
Step 2:Click onGeneralon the sidebar.
Step 2:Then, click onLanguage & Region.
Step 3:Next to the Measurement system, selectUSas your current region.
This should immediately apply the prefs and change miles to kilometers in Apple Maps.
Using this, you’re able to also switch your maps between miles and KM.
Step 1:OpenDuckDuckGoon any web client and select thehamburger menu icon.
Step 3:Then, click onAll configs/configs.
This will launch the parameters page.
Step 4:punch theRegion drop-downand select acountrythat uses KM, like India.
If youre going for miles, then select another relevant region.
Step 5:Then, scroll down and click onSave and Exit.
Since its available on both, desktop and mobile, this task has become much easier.
Step 2:Scroll down and tap onDistance units> selectKilometers.
Tip:you could also tap on miles if you wish to change kilometers to miles in Google Maps.
Tip:you might alsouse Google Maps to find the elevationof a location.
Step 2:Then, open thedirections panel.
Step 3:Here, click onOptions.
Step 4:Then, click onkm.
Once done, click onClose.
you’re free to also tap on miles to change the unit.
Clicking on Automatic will ensure Google Maps adapts the measurement units according to your regions preferred metric system.
