The Xbox app is used to initiate streaming:
check that your Xbox One is turned on.
Launch the Windows Xbox app.
Select theXbox Oneicon on the left.
Locate your Xbox One in the list, then selectConnect.
This step is only done once.
If your Xbox doesn’t show up in the list, verify that it is turned on.
This will initiate the stream.
If nothing happens, selectTest streamingto see what the problem is.
After this initial setup has been completed, streaming in the future is even easier.
Just launch the Windows Xbox app, select theXbox Oneicon on the left, then selectStream.
If the Xbox One is off, you will first need to selectTurn on.
This allows you to navigate the Xbox dashboard, and launch games, as you normally would.
Navigate to the game hub for the game you want to play.
This will automatically connect to the console and start streaming if everything is set up correctly.
The easiest solution is to simply plug your Xbox One controller into your PC with a microUSBcable.
Windows will automatically recognize the controller.
SelectHardware and Sound>Manage Audio Devices.
Under thePlaybacktab, right tap on your headset and verify it is set asdefault gadget.
Under theRecordingtab, right tap on your headset or microphone and ensure it is set as thedefault unit.
