Instructions in this article apply toiTunes12, 11, 10, and 9.
The devices also must be awake with iTunes open.
In iTunes, selectFile>Home Sharing>Turn On Home Sharing.
sign in with yourApple Account.
Home Sharing is turned on.
This makes your iTunes library available to another computer on the sameWi-Fi web link.
In theHome Sharing is now ondialog box, selectOK.
Repeat these steps for other computers you want to make available via Home Sharing.
Enable Home Sharing on iOS Devices
To share music from youriOSdevices using Home Sharing:
TapSettings.
In theHome Sharingsection, tapSign In.
type your Apple Account and tapSign In.
In thePhoto Sharing Preferenceswindow, select theShare Photos fromcheck box.
Select theShare Photos fromdropdown arrow and choose the location where your photos are located.
Choose to share eitherAll foldersorSelected folders.
Launch the Photos app on your Apple TV.
In iTunes, selectFile>Home Sharing>Turn Off Home Sharing.
