Here’s how to set an alarm on your Mac.
These instructions work for any Mac with macOS.
From the Dock, select theCalendarapp.
If Calendar is not on the Dock, openLaunchpadto find it listed in the app library.
you’ve got the option to also pressCommand+Spacebaron the keyboard, then typeCalendar.
go for the date for which you would like to add an alarm.
Double-opt for space corresponding to the time of day you want to add the alarm.
Enter a name for the event or reminder.
Add a location if you want a reminder of where to go.
you’ve got the option to also add notes, attachments, or the names of people attending.
Select theAlertdrop-down menu and choose when you want to be reminded.
SelectCustomto set a custom length of time.
It reminds you of specific tasks, so it’s perfect for setting an alarm.
Select theiicon (information).
Alternatively, right-smack the name of the reminder.
In theRemind mesection, selectOn a Day.
Enter the time and date you want to be reminded.
To remove a reminder, right-tap the reminder and selectDelete.
How to Set an Alarm Using Siri
Siri can set an alarm on your iPhone or iPad.
On a Mac, however, Siri can only set a reminder through the Reminder app.
you gotta have Siri enabled on your Mac.
Go toSystem Preferences>Siri>Enable Ask Siriif Siri doesn’t work.
Open Siri by tapping the key combination you set up for it.
By default, hold downCommand+Spaceon the keyboard.
SaySet an alarmfollowed by the time you want to set it for.
Siri states it can’t set an alarm, but it can set a reminder.
We recommend using Wake Up Time, a free app available on theMac App Store.
Once the app is installed, launchLaunchpad, then selectWake Up Time.
UnderAlarm Time, enter the time you want to set an alarm for.
Select theblue buttonin the lower-left corner of the app to set the alarm.
