To reduce it, block the feature under Teams app tweaks.
Step 1:Open Microsoft Teams, click thethree-dotmenu at the top right, and selectSettings.
Step 2:SelectGeneralfrom the left sidebar and uncheckDisable GPU hardware acceleration.
If youre using a low-end computer, it can consume significant system resources, increasing CPU usage.
Disable it from the in-app controls.
Step 1:Open Microsoft Teams app tweaks from thethree-dot menuat the top right.
Step 2:SelectPrivacyfrom the left sidebar and toggle offRead Receipts.
Head to the Teams appsettings> selectGeneralfrom the sidebar > uncheckAuto-start applicationto prevent it from launching automatically.
Disable it from the app parameters to reduce its RAM consumption.
Step 1:Click thethree-dot menuat the top right of Microsoft Teams and selectSettings.
Step 2:SelectAppearance and accessibilityfrom the sidebar and toggle onTurn off animations.
Open Microsoft Teams app options, selectGeneralfrom the sidebar, and uncheckRegister Teams as the chat app for Office.
reboot your PC to apply changes.
Clearing it manually should restore its normal functioning.
Step 2:Select theblob_storage,Cache,databases,GPUCache, andLocal Storagefolders.
PressDeleteon your keyboard to remove them.
Step 1:OpenWindows Settingsusing the Windows + I shortcut > selectAppsfrom the sidebar > clickInstalled apps.
Step 2:Search Microsoft Teams, click itsthree-dot menu, and selectAdvanced options.
Step 3:Scroll down and clickRepair.
If the issue persists, selectResetto restore the app to factory defaults.
