Instructions apply to Excel and Word 2019, 2016, and 2013 and Excel and Word for Microsoft 365.
Make a column for each element you want to include on the labels.
jot down the names and addresses or other data you’re planning to print on labels.

see to it each item is in the correct column.
Avoid leaving blank columns or rows within the list.
Save the worksheet when you have finished.

Open a blank Word document.
ChooseStart Mail Merge>Labels.
it’s possible for you to also selectNew Labelif you want to enter custom label dimensions.

ClickOKwhen you are ready to proceed.
In Word, clickFile.
Scroll down, and selectOptionsat the bottom of the left pane.
ClickAdvancedin the left pane of the Word Options window and then scroll down to theGeneralsection.
ensure theConfirm file format conversion on openis selected and clickOK.
FromMailings, in theStart Mail Mergegroup, chooseSelect Recipients>Use an Existing List.
Navigate to the Excel worksheet containing your list in theSelect Data Sourcewindow that opens and clickOpen.
ClickOKto confirm that you want to use the list and clickOKagain to go for the table containing your list.
The page will now be filled with labels that say Next Record.
This is where those headings you added to your Excel worksheet will come in handy.
hit the first label on the page and then selectAddress Blockin theWrite & Insert Fieldssection of theMailingstab.
Click theMatch Fieldsbutton on theInsert Address Blockdialog box that appears.
confirm your headings correspond with the required fields.
ClickOKagain to exit the dialog box.
SelectMailings>Write & Insert Fields>Update Labels.
ClickFinish & Mergein theFinishgroup on theMailingstab.
ClickEdit Individual Documentsto preview how your printed labels will appear.
A new document opens with the mailing labels from your Excel worksheet.
Check theAxis titlebox, select theright arrowbeside it, then choose an axis to label.
To labellegends in Excel, select a blank area of the chart.
In the upper-right, select thePlus(+) > check theLegendcheckbox.
Then, go for the cell containing the legend and enter anew name.
To label aseries in Excel, right-tap the chart with data series >Select Data.
UnderLegend Entries (Series), snag the data series, then selectEdit.
In theSeries namefield, enter aname.
