How to Manage Safari History on macOS
Safari has long been the standard web web client formacOS.
You’ll see a drop-down menu with the titles of the web pages you visited recently.
PressCmd+Ato select everything, then pressDeleteto remove your online window history while retaining website data.
choose the period you want to clear from the drop-down menu.
Options includethe last hour,today,today and yesterday, andall history.
SelectClear Historyto delete the list of sites.
The only distinguishing feature of the new window is that the address bar is tinted dark gray.
The browsing history for all tabs in this window remains private.
In Safari forWindows, select thesettings gearand choosePrivate Browsingfrom the drop-down menu.
To manage the Safari browsing history on an iOS equipment:
Tap theSafariapp to open it.
Tap theBookmarksicon at the bottom of the screen.
It resembles an open book.
Tap theHistoryicon at the top of the screen that opens.
It resembles a clock face.
Scroll through the screen for a website to open.
Tap an entry to launch the page in Safari.
To erase the browsing history, tapClearat the bottom of the History screen.
Choose one of the four options:The last hour,Today,Today and yesterday,andAll time.
Clearing your Safari history also removes cookies and other browsing data.
TapDoneto exit the screen and return to the online window page.
Tap theplus signto open a private browsing window.
Enter a URL or search term as usual.
