In Chrome, open a new tab by selectingFile>New Tab.

Select Customize from the lower-right right corner of the page.

Navigate to the image you want to use on your machine, and then selectOpen.

You’ve set your new background image using your own photo.

At any time, go back and selectNo backgroundfrom theCategoriesmenu to revert the New Tab page to its default.

Select the Background tab.

Here’s how to find and add a New Tab extension.

Navigate to theChrome Web Store.

Select an image category, such as Textures, Landscapes, Art, or Seascapes.

Browse the available extensions and pick the one you’d like to try.

Select a thumbnail image and select Done

After you select an extension, you’ll go to its page.

The extension’s icon is added to your Chrome toolbar.

Select it to launch the extension.

From the upper-right corner of the Chrome window, selectMore(three dots) and then selectSettings.

Locate the extension and then selectRemove.

Select Upload from device.

You’ve successfully removed the extension.

To restore the Chrome New Tab default page, select theEditicon (pen) from the lower-right corner.

SelectNo Backgroundand then selectDoneto revert to Chrome’s default New Tab page.

Navigate to the image you want to use on your device, and then select Open.

You’re back to Chrome’s default New Tab page.

SelectCustomizeat any time to make changes.

Type “new tab” into the search bar and press Enter.

Select Extensions from the menu on the left.

Select Add to Chrome.

Select Add Extension to confirm.

From the top right of the Chrome window, select More (three dots) and then select Settings.

Select Extensions.

Select Remove

Select Remove again to confirm.

You’ve successfully removed the extension.
