As you may have already noticed, Macs don’t have an Alt key.
Use the keyboard shortcutCommand+Option+Escapeto display the Force Quit Applications window.
When the window pops open, choose the tool, and clickForce Quit.
Confirm the action by clickingForce Quit.
Shortcut Method Two: Command+Shift+Option+Escape
Alternatively, it’s possible for you to kill the app immediately.
verify the app is active and use the keyboard shortcutCommand+Shift+Option+Escape.
This will bypass the Force Quit Applications window and wrap up the active app.
Right-click or hold yourControlkey and poke the icon in the Dock.
The context menu will appear with an option toQuitat the bottom.
Hold yourOptionkey and youll see that Quit is replaced withForce Quit, so select it to terminate the system.
When the Force Quit Applications window appears, go for the program, and clickForce Quit.
confirm the app is active and click theApple iconin your menu bar.
Hold yourShiftkey and youll see Force Quit replaced withForce QuitApplication.
Click it to quit the app.
it’s possible for you to jump into the Activity Monitor from the Utilities folder.
ClickGo>Utilitiesfrom the Finder menu bar and double-clickActivity Monitorto open it.
pick the app that you want to force close.
you might do this from any of the tabs at the top of the Activity Monitor window.
ClickStop(X) in the toolbar.
Confirm that you want to terminate the utility by clickingForce Quit.
