On a Mac, bring up the Firefox menu and choosePreferences.
Or, on a Windows or Mac computer, enterabout:preferencesin a new tab or window.
If Options isn’t listed in the menu, selectCustomizeand dragOptionsfrom the list ofAdditional Tools and Featuresover to theMenu.
Select thePrivacy & SecurityorPrivacytab on the left.
In theHistorysection, chooseClear History.
If you don’t see that link, change theFirefox willoption toRemember history.
Change it back to your custom setting when you’re done.
In theHistorysection, scrub the checkboxes for everything exceptCache.
If you want to clear other stored data, like the browsing history, snag the appropriate checkboxes.

SelectOKorClear Nowto delete everything you checked in the previous step.
If the internet cache is large, Firefox might hang while it finishes removing the files.
Be patientit eventually finishes the job.
