Instructions apply to all devices withChrome OS.
On a Chromebook, you’ll need touse the Chromebook Task Manager.
Open Google Chrome on your Chromebook.
Select thethree dot menuat the upper right, then selectMore tools>Task manager.
This will initiate the Task Manager app.
This will open an About System page with a long list of system specs.
There is a mountain of information tucked into this list.
To dig deeper into the details, scroll down to the item you want, then selectExpand.
This shows you free, available, cache, active, inactive memory, and much more.
Open theSettingspage on your Chromebook, then selectNetworkfrom the left navigation pane.
Here you’ll see the name of the Wi-Fi connection you’re currently connected to.
To see more information about that connection, select it.
On the Wi-Fi window, you’ll see the Connected status for that internet.
This will show you the platform version, firmware version, last build date, and more.
Check Chromebook’s Available Storage
Storage on a Chromebook is very different than storage on aWindowsorMaccomputer.
A Chromebook has two types of storage, both local storage andcloud storage.
Local storage is anSSD, mostly used as a cache and for downloaded files.
Checking the available storage of each from your Chromebook is very easy.
Check Local Storage
Select theLaunchericon at the lower-left corner of the screen.
Find and select theFilesicon.
You’ll see both total storage and available storage.
