you’re free to edit your AirDrop name at any time and as often as you like.
This process changes the name of your machine.
Here’s how it works:
TapSettings.
Tap thexto delete the current name for your iPad and bang out the new one that you want.
When you’re finished, tapdoneon the keyboard.
The new name you’ve given your iPhone or iPad will now show up in AirDrop.
This name is used in all instances in which your iPad name appears, not just AirDrop.
In the top left corner of the screen, poke the Apple menu and then selectSystem SettingsorSystem Preferences.
Go toGeneral>Sharing.
Or, on some versions of macOS, selectSharingfrom the System Preferences screen.
When you’re done, you could shut the window.
This changes the name of the computer for all networked sharing purposes, not just AirDrop.
Tap theAirDrop iconto turn on the feature.
SelectContacts OnlyorEveryone for 10 Minutes.
Or, go toSettings>General>AirDropto turn it on.
Toturn on AirDrop on a Mac, open Finder and clickGo>AirDrop.
you could now share and receive files using AirDrop.
On an iPhone, AirDropped photos will go to yourPhotosapp.
Similarly, all files sent to you via AirDrop will be stored in their corresponding app on your iPhone.
On a Mac, AirDropped files, including photos, are stored in theDownloadsfolder.
