How Do You Add Emotes on Twitch?
Emotes are added to Twitch through the Creator Dashboard, and theyre available to both Twitch Affiliates and Partners.
Twitch emotes need to be square, between 112x112px and 4096x4096px, and they cant be larger than 1MB.
Use animage editing apptocropandresizeyour emotes before you upload them.
Click theupload icon(arrow pointing up inside gray box outline).
Select an emote file from your machine, and clickOpen.
Repeat this process to add additional emotes.
When Can You Add Emotes on Twitch?
You get the ability to add emotes on Twitch as soon as you are accepted into the Affiliate program.
You also get the ability to add cheermotes.
Can You Add Twitch Emotes Without Being an Affiliate or Partner?
The only way to add emotes to Twitch is to be an Affiliate or Partner.
Heres how to access BTTV emotes:
Navigate toBetterTTV’s site’s.
Depending on your online window, you may see a button likeAddorInstall.
If prompted, allow the surfing app to roll out the extension.
Navigate to Twitch’s site, click your avatar, and clickBetterTTV options.
Scroll down, and verify the boxes are checked next to the emotes you want to use.
Youll now be able to use and see BTTV emotes in Twitch chat.
If they pass manual review, they will typically be available within two days.
First, open Discord and go toSettings>Connectionstab >Twitchto sync your Discord and Twitch accounts.
Then, go to your Discord channel and smack the name >Server options>Integrations>Connect.
Finally, in theServer Settingssection, turn onUse External Emojis.
This process will also sync your Twitch channel roles, so admin statuses should carry over.
