Prepare Your Yahoo Account
Set up your Yahoo account so that it allows Outlook to connect.
This initial step depends on whether you have two-step verification enabled on your Yahoo account.

Generate an App Password
If your Yahoo account is secured with two-step verification,generate a third-party app password.
You’ll use this in place of your Yahoo Mail sign-in password when you configure Outlook.
No Two-Step Verification?
sign in to yourYahoo Mail account.
In the upper-right corner of the web page, select yourprofile nameand then chooseAccount Info.
snag the version of Outlook you want to use from the menu.
you’ve got the option to use Outlook iOS, Outlook Android, or Outlook Desktop.
A window appears with the password key and instructions for using it.
Mail account with 2-step authentication.
It provides an extra layer of security to protect your account from unauthorized access.
SelectInfo, and then selectAdd Account.
slide in your Yahoo Mail address, and then selectConnect.
drop your app password.
Your Yahoo Mail account is added to Outlook.

Screens in Outlook 2010 vary slightly, but the menus, options, and process are the same.
SelectInfo, and then chooseAdd Account.
ChooseManual setup or additional server types, then selectNext.
In Outlook 2010, chooseManually configure server configs or additional server types.
ChoosePop or IMAP, then selectNext.
In Outlook 2010, chooseInternet E-mail.
In theServer Informationsection, select theAccount Typedrop-down arrow and chooseIMAP.
In theUser Informationsection, input your name and your Yahoo email address.
In theServer Informationsection, in theIncoming mail servertext box, enterimap.mail.yahoo.com.
In theOutgoing mail server (SMTP)text box, entersmtp.mail.yahoo.com.
In theLogin Informationsection, theUser Nametext box displays the user name from your Yahoo Mail address.
Correct this information if necessary.
Then, go to thePasswordtext box and enter the app password you generated if your account uses two-step verification.
In theIncoming server (IMAP)text box, enter993.
In theOutgoing server (SMTP)text box, enter465.
SelectOKto return to thePop and IMAP Account Settingswindow.
This tests the account tweaks you entered.
If everything is correct, both are completed successfully.
If you have 2-factor authentication set up, you must enter that way.
Tochange your Yahoo Mail password, go toAccount Info>Go>Account security>Change Password.
TheYahoo Mail POP server addressispop.mail.yahoo.com.
Your POP username is your Yahoo Mail username.
