Display
The display is probably the biggest difference.
The Garmin Elevate V4 optical HR sensor is used by both devices.
While the instinct plots them over time (without altitude).
Sports & Activity
The Instinct 2 series has converged the fastest in this area.
On paper, there arent many differences between the series.
There are multi-cycling modes on both units, as well as strength/HIIT/yoga/etc.
Also included are golf modes.
However, the extent to which each feature is fulfilled varies.
Smartwatch Features
The Instinct 2 series does not have WiFi or music.
Garmin Pay is built into all Fenix 7 units.
Garmin Pay is Garmins contactless payment system (using NFC).
It works well, but only if your bank is supported.
The Garmin Fenix 7 is the companys flagship watch, and currently is the companys highest-end watch.
It has a metal bezel, a colorful display, and is packed with advanced training and navigation features.
Its also a great smartwatch for everyday use.
Although it costs around twice as much like the Garmin Instinct 2, it is a big investment.
As an example, the Garmin Instinct 2 is a good option.
Moreover, the Instinct 2 has exceptional battery life, which is partly due to its monochrome display.
