Musk said the Twitter “obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape,” he said.

Instead, he wants it “to be the most respected advertising platform in the world.”

The letter stands in sharp contrast to the divisive, outrageous tweets that Musk regularly sends.

Twitter and Musk have until Friday to complete the deal or the case will go to trial in November.

Getting out of a merger agreement is also tough, with a high legal bar.
