Troubleshooting a connection on Windows
Instructions in this article apply to Windows 10 and Windows 11.
To do this, do the following steps:
SelectStartthenSettings(gear icon).
WithinWindows controls, selectNetwork & Internet.
SelectStatuson the left panel to see what your current connectivity status is.
In Windows 11, selectNetwork & Internet, then turn onWi-Fi.
If available, a list of available Wi-Fi connections will appear.
opt for desired connection >Connect.
If prompted, enter thenetwork security keyand selectNext.
To remember the connection, selectConnect automatically.
There are a couple of ways to runWindows connection Troubleshooter.

SelectStart>tweaks(gear icon).
In the left pane, selectStatusto see what your current connectivity status is.
If you see available networks and adding them has failed, selectTroubleshoot.
SelectApply this fixto apply possible solution.
Windows Troubleshooter will apply solution and verify issue has been fixed.
If Windows online grid Diagnostics couldn’t fix the issue it will offer another possible solution.
SelectApply this fixto attempt repair.
You may have to look at other possibletroubleshooting steps when you don’t have a wireless connection.
If successful, you’ll seeFixednext to the solution.
In the Searchbar, enterControl Panel, then selectOpen.
In the Control Panel, selectNetwork and Internet.
UnderNetwork and Sharing Center, selectView web link status and tasks.
UnderChange your networking configs, selectTroubleshoot problems.
UnderGet up and running, selectInternet Connections.
In Windows 11, selectAdditional troubleshooters>Internet Connections.
SelectTroubleshoot my connection to the Internet.
After scanning for possible issues and fixes, Windows connection Diagnostics may provide a fix.
SelectApply the fixto complete repair.
View Your connection Connection
TheNetwork and Sharing Centershould now show your machine connected to the selected connection.
It also shows a lot of information aboutSharing and Discovery configs.
The status window provides a wealth of information about your internet connection.
In the Control Panel, go toNetwork and Internetand selectView web link status and tasks.
UnderView your active networks, select your active connection.
InWi-Fi Status, you could see connectiondetails, wireless properties, and even diagnoseyour connection.
Once you’re finished, selectClose.
Under the name of your Wi-Fi connection, selectProperties.
SelectAdd deviceto drop in the printer automatically.
ChooseAdd manuallyfor manual installation options.
