In Recovery Console,+cand-cswitches apply toattrib.
They set and clear thecompressed fileattribute, respectively.
Outside of this diagnostic area in Windows XP, use thecompactcommand to handle file compression from thecommand line.
Take ownership of those files in Windows and then have another go.
For example, thexcopycommand’s/mswitch turns off the archive attribute after the file has been copied.
Similarly, thexcopy/kswitch keeps a file’s read-only attribute once it’s been copied.
This might be preferred for you if you’re not familiar with the command line.
Do this by right-clicking the object and going into itsProperties>Generaltab.
