Applemay be working ona foldable MacBook.

But isnt the MacBookalreadyfoldable?

Yes, it is, but not like this.

It would make for an awesome product, but Apples surprising conservatism means that this rumor might never unfold.

This design makes even more sense for an Apple gadget.

If you have a recent-model MacBook, youll know that the screen is extremely thin already.

Doubling up would add only a little bulk, but a lot of utility.

And it only gets better.

“A large folding screen has many cool uses.

It helps people do more things at the same time on a large screen.

Youd get used to it quickly enough, like the notch at the top of all current MacBook displays.

But would Apple ever make such a thing?

Know When to Hold em

Apples hardware products are usually amazing.

But take a look at Apples lineup, and you dont see much in the way of way-out ideas.

In recent years, the innovation is all on the inside.

The iPad and iPhone are similar.

“Although Apple is usually cautious about new things, they have been creative lately,” says Thun.

“Just look at the Apple Vision Pro.”

The Vision Pro is pretty impressive, but again, its a fancy Apple version of existing VR headsets.

Id say its definitely within Apples scope.

After all, folding laptops already exist.

But what I dont expect to see is a folding MacBook.

I think it might be more likely that this comes from the iPad direction.
