If you’re just starting in the world of 3D printing, you’re free to’t go wrong with the Anycubic Photon Mono 2, featured on ourbest 3D printers list.
We named it the best inexpensive resin 3D printer, and it’s a great upgrade to the previous Mono 4K, with a better print resolution and size.
you’re able to get it at Anycubic’s site but it’s even cheaper at Amazon, where it’s beendiscounted to $152when youclip the coupon.
The Photon Mono 2 has a larger 16589x143 millimeter build area, which is on the smaller side but primarily suitable for minis and smaller models.
Even so, the prints are very detailed for being that small, with Dungeons & Dragons minis showing weapon details and even wrinkles in clothing.
The print rate is also pretty good, at around two to three seconds per layer, which isn’t bad for a budget-friendly 3D printer.
There’s also a nice color touchscreen at the front, which is relatively simple, and the Photon Mono 2 comes with Anycubic’s new slicer.
Photon Workshop 3 might not be the preferred slicer for more experienced folks, but it’s a great starting point if you’ve never done any printing before.
It’s also relatively well-sized at 390x229x235 mm, so it’s easy to fit into your workshop, office or wherever you plan to put it.
Just keep in mind that since it’s a resin printer, it will need good ventilation and UV light to cure your print.
The Anycubic Photon Mono 2 is a great starter printer, especially if you’re mostly looking to do minis and other smaller prints.
That said, if you want something bigger or don’t want to deal with resin, there are a few other great3D printer dealsyou can take advantage of.
