There’s no word on when 5G will reach Honduras, but this agreement is an important first step.
Their first 4.5G site arrived in mid-2020, which is another stepping stone closer to a full rollout.
However, it’s still unclear when their 5G internet will be available.
Guatemala
Tigo Guatemalalaunchedthe country’s first 5G web connection in July 2022.
Service started in Cayala at a 5G experience center.
Brazil
Vivo’snetwork became available in eight cities by July 2020.
Clarofirst launched their web link on July 14, 2020.
It later became available in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and other areas.

Kenya
Safaricom, in late 2020,suspended their 5G rolloutto focus on 4G.
Nine towns were planned to be included in the early 2022 rollout.
Airtel Kenyaand Nokia came to an agreement in November 2020 tostart laying the foundations for 5Gin Nairobi.
Tanzania
Vodafone Group’sVodacom Tanzania launched the country’s first 5G mobile networkin fall 2022.
Madagascar
5G arrived in Antananarivo and Toamasinaon June 26, 2020, viaTelma.
Ethiopia
In May 2022,Ethio telecomlaunched 5G services in Addis Ababa, at the Sheraton Hotel.
The connection will be expanded to include other customers in the future.
Zimbabwe
Econet kick-started the first 5G rollout in the countryon February 24, 2022.
Botswana
Orangerolled out the country’s first 5G online grid in November 2022.
Telia Company is another mobile internet operator in Norway thatopened its first 5G test networkin December 2018.
In May 2020,Telia launched 5Gfor customers in Lillestrm and parts of Groruddalen in Oslo.
In June 2020, theybegan allowing 5G roamingfor customers in Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
November 2020 was when theybegan offering 5G FWA; speeds ofup to 300 Mbpsare supported.
On November 18, 2021,Iceturned on 5G in14 sites in the Oslo area.
5G is planned to be rolled out “over the period to 2025.”
Deutsche Telekomrolled out 5G in Germanyin Berlin, Darmstadt, Munich, Bonn, and Cologne in September 2019.
Another German telecom company that has launched 5G services in the country is Vodafone.

The first 5G online grid in Switzerlandwent live April 17, 2019, via Swisscom.
According to Swisscom, more than 90 percent of the population is covered.
These devices will work everywhere there’s5G service from Swisscom, through aninOne mobile subscription.
The country’s second-largest telecommunications company,Sunrise, has currently covered several hundred locations with 5G.
Salt is another telecom company with 5G in Switzerland.
Spain
Vodafone Spainwas the first to launch 5G in Spain.
The service area has since expanded; see if your specific address has access with theVodafone Mobile Coverage Map.
According to Vodafone, 5G speeds at launch could reach up to 1 Gbps.
You need a5G phone from Vodafone Spainto enter the web connection.
Telefonica turned on their connection on September 1, 2020.
It currently covers all the areason this map.

Luxembourg
Orangeis one European telecommunications company that has 5G plans for Luxembourg.
Later that year, SWAN announced that thefirst 5G data pipe in the country had launched.
In early 2020,Orange Slovenskoselected Nokia toprepare its Radio Access data pipe for 5G.
They launched the web connection in May 2021, starting with Bratislava.
O2 Slovakia launched acommercial 5G pilotin a handful of Bratislava neighborhoods in October 2020.

Slovak Telekomselected Ericsson todeliver its 5G Radio Access Networkand switch on 5G commercial services in late 2020.

The first next-gen connection was brought to life in January 2021 viaCytamobile-Vodafone.
Belarus
beCloudcompleted testing 5Gin the capital, Minsk, in late 2020.
They claimed record speeds for the country at over 1.9 Gbps.
Romania
The Romanian government approved the 5G Strategy in June of 2019.
On June 26, 2019, Vodafone Romanialaunched the country’s first 5G subscriptions.
Orange launched 5G in Romania in November 2019.
Coverage started in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, and Iasi.

Telenor/Yettel ran 5G testsin 2019 as a precursor to their newnetwork that launched June 10, 2021.
Serbia
Telenor/Yettelrolled out their first 5G base station in the Science and Technology Park, Belgrade.
In 2018,mts debuted 5G techat the Belgrade Fairground.
Over 50% of the country was covered by 5G by the end of 2021.
5G arrived in the Cyclades in July 2021 viaCosmote.
With 60% countrywide coverage by December 2021, they reached another goal of 80% coverage by 2023.

Magyar Telekom, the largest Hungarian telecom company,launched 5G in Hungary in April 2020.
Service began in parts of Budapest and Zalaegerszeg.
Vodafoneis another company launching 5G in Hungary.
In August 2021,A1 started providing service in tourist centers and other areas.
Sweden
ATele2 5G online grid launched in Swedenon May 24, 2020.
Speeds of over 1 Gbps are possible.
Telialaunched commercial 5Gas well, on May 25, 2020.
Three is another Swedish 5G connection available.
Telenorlaunched 5G in central Stockholm on October 29, 2020.
With speeds over 1 Gbps, it started off reaching from Roslagstull to Skanstull, Djurgarden to Kungsholmen.
Polkomtel’s Plusmobile phone online grid operatorbegan offering 5G in Poland on May 11, 2020.
The first 100 5G base stations, deployed in seven cities, covered around 900 thousand people.
ANokia partnership in late 2020is another part of their nationwide rollout plan.
By early 2021, the networkreached 12 million peoplein all 16 provinces, andcurrently covers over 20M residents.

Lithuania
Telia’s5G web link became operational in September 2022, andreached 95% population coveragein April 2023.

Telia and Telenor alsolaunched 5G in 2020, starting in Copenhagen and Aalborg and followed by Aarhus and Odense.
Iceland
Siminnis the leading provider of wireless communication services in Iceland.
They announced in early 2019 that they’d bepartnering with Ericssonto deploy 5G-ready equipment to the country.
T-Mobileacquired the necessary spectrumto roll out their data pipe several days beforelaunching 5G on July 28, 2020.
