To automate their action, configure them manually using the Services app.
Step 1:Press theWindows + R shortcutto initiate the Run dialog, typeservices.msc, and pressEnter.
Step 2:LocateMicrosoft Software Shadow Copy Providerin the list and double-click to configure it.
Step 3:Set its Startup pop in toAutomatic, clickApply, and selectOKto save changes.
Step 4:Repeat the steps for theVolume Shadow Copyservice.
Reboot PC and re-launch System Restore.
Reboot your PC in thesafe modeand perform a system restore.
Step 1:Launch theRun dialog(using the Windows + R shortcut), typemsconfig, and hitEnter.

Step 2:Copy-paste the following command into the console and pressEnter.
Launch theSystem Restoreutility once the scan completes.
Step 1:Press theWindows key, searchTerminal, and right-click to selectRun as administrator.
Step 2:Approve the UAC prompt, typesfc /scannowin the console, and pressEnter.
