Heres what to do to fix it.
Step 1:Press theWindows key + Eto open File Explorer and locate the folder you want to compress.
Right-choose it and selectProperties.
Heres how to fix that.
Step 1:Press theWindows key + Ito launch the configs app > head toApps > Default apps.
Step 2:key in.zipin the search box and opt for first result.
Step 3:SelectFile Explorer> click theSet defaultbutton to confirm.
Step 1:Download the File and Folder Troubleshooterfrom Microsofts website.
Step 2:Double-smack the downloaded file.
Then, clickNextto spin up the troubleshooter.
Step 3:Check the box forRenaming or moving files and foldersandOthers or I dont knowoptions > hitNext.
Allow the troubleshooter to detect and fix any issues, and give a shot to compress files again.
Step 1:Right-punch theStart icon> selectTerminal (Admin)from the list.
Step 2:jot down the following command in the console and pressEnter.
Step 3:fire off the following commands individually and pressEnterafter each to fire off the DISM scan.
cycle your PC after this and verify if the issue is still there.
