But you’re free to disable or hide the content shared in iMessage conversations from the Photos app.
So, we suggest enabling content access.
On iPhone and iPad
OpenSettings > Messages > Shared with You > Enable Photos.
Forspecific contacts, open theMessages app > Chat with contact > Contact name > Enable Shared with You.
On Mac
Step 1:Open theMessages app > Info iconnext to a contact name in chat.
Step 2:Scroll down and then peek if the option ofShow in Shared with Youis enabled.
Step 3:After that, click onMessagesat the top-left corner and then selectSettings.
Step 4:tap on theShared With Youtab.
Step 1:Open theSettings app > iCloud > Show all.
Step 2:Tap onPhotosand then enableSync this iPhone.
Step 1:OpenSettings > Account name > iCloud.
Step 2:Click onPhotos.
Step 3:tap the toggle nextSync this Macto enable syncing.
Then, click onDone.
So, you better check the preference you have selected for storing message history on your unit.
Step 1:OpenSettings > Messages > Keep Messages.
